Have your parents reached the age where they need assistance with the daily activities of life? Or are you one of these parents?
Do your parents dread the thought of leaving their family home for a care home?
Are you concerned about leaving your parents at home with an ever-changing team of carers hired by the hour?
Do you have the desire and the means to support your parents with a premium quality permanent in-home care team - if only you could find one?
Our Mission at Home Care with a Heart is to provide premium, permanent, reliable, and professional in-home care to a small, select group of Houston area families who desire the very best support for their elderly parents in the comfort, familiarity, privacy, and safety of their own homes
We aim to serve a small, select group of Houston area families that look a lot like the following family. The parents are a relatively healthy couple in their 80’s, plus or minus. They have reached the age where they need assistance with the daily activities of life. Their children, now in their 50’s and 60’s, have the means and motivation to support them, but not the time. Busy careers, the busy early years of retirement, or their children and grandchildren, keep them fully occupied. None of the conventional personal care options appeal to any member of the family. Care homes, even some of the most high-end ones, have poor reputations for the quality of care, the empathy of the care staff, and safety. In any case, the couple is fiercely independent, and like 70% of Americans, they refuse to go to a care home. They do not want to leave the comfort, familiarity, privacy, and safety of their own homes. But most in-home care is offered by hourly pay-as-you-go agencies which have a poor reputation for providing Carers with high turnover, poor training, low motivation, and often little empathy for seniors. The family has the means and motivation to support their parents’ strong preference for in-home care - if only they could find a permanent team of carers to provide the premium levels of care their parents deserve.

Our carers are selected and motivated to provide conversation and companionship
Our seniors have a more independent lifestyle, with unrestricted access to family members - and to the world at large.
On new engagements, Jocelyn will personally interview both the senior(s) and families. She will personally develop a custom and comprehensive care plan. She will recruit and train staff to implement the care plan and to use logs to track results daily.
Once care begins Jocelyn will personally provide the first few days of a new client's care. Ongoing, she will be the main point of contact with family members. She will drop into each household for a few hours each week to monitor and observe the care environment. Daily logs will be reviewed by Jocelyn and shared with the family.
Out of hours, Jocelyn takes calls from her Caregivers and family members and frequently makes unscheduled visits to help manage a live issue.
